Projects

At the Natural History Museum of Denmark, we do research on the systematics, phylogeny and evolutionary history of different groups of organisms. We describe new species and explore their biology and distributional history. We employ a range of methods, e.g., molecular phylogeny and eDNA, scanning electron microscopy, synchrotron scanning and radiometric dating.

Our research is centered on our large collections, which are constantly expanded with material collected in connection with our projects. If you have an idea for a project, or a special interest in a certain group or methodology, try contacting some of our researchers which might be able to supervise your project.
